Event Details & Registration
I'm a certified teacher of 5 Rhythms® - love at first sight! I'd found a doorway into a different world, a space where I was not only allowed but positively encouraged to dance, and a dance form that was not just for the young, the fit, and the slender. It changed my life. The dance is both my passion and my practice. In it, I find my body set free, and my heart, mind and soul opened...to a greater authenticity, a deeper connection, with myself, with others, with Other.
(If the evening has become fully registered, do sign up to the Waiting List. Sometimes a registrant will inform us in advance that they can't attend, and we are able to re-allocate the space. Additionally, if we see there is a strong demand it will guide our future venue considerations.)

Who am I...today? Today I am a passionate heart, a woman and a seeker. I am fire and water, wind and earth. I am chaos and flowing, I am a lyrical, travelling soul. Forever searching, through the movement of my body, the balance between my strength and my vulnerability. On the dancefloor I seek, explore, express and create my own true version of love, family, relationship, success and any idea has been taught us but doesn't fit us any longer. Dancing is the most fascinating and poetic way to connect to that truth ...
My 'home territory' is Tuscany, italy, where I teach in cities, by the sea, on evenings, workshops and retreats - I am excited to have this new opportunity to dance with you all in the UK.
This open wave is for all, whether or not you are joining the weekend workshop.
If you are joining the weekend workshop and want to join this Friday wave, you MUST also register for it here - if you are dancing the weekend wave with Ambu, please use the coupon code Ambu2023 when registering for the Friday - it will give you a £5 discount.

What is your reaction to some of the most common questions like:
Are you more of an introvert or extrovert person? Do you feel more feminine or masculine? Do you think you are a deep or superficial person? fun or boring? Are you hard worker or lazy kind of guy?
My inner voice always says: I don’t know, I am all and nothing. Those questions used to make me feel uncomfortable even though most of the time it was just me questioning myself!
But ... courageously exploring these voices and feelings help us to develop, choose and belong - anywhere, anytime. We are naturally curious, not stuck in tribes. We do belong to “all that is us”, which today may be introvert and tomorrow extrovert; having to choose in order to feel a belonging to a particular tribe is an illusion - the only tribe we’ll always belong to to is the tribe that includes “all of you.”
Imagine that a new Tribe is emerging and that you belong to that one. The Tribe of those who can proudly answer: "I don’t know, I am all of this, all the time."
HERE is an invitation to bring your messy self to the dance floor and celebrate it!

This body ~ often taken for granted, sometimes ill or in pain, always
ageing..
We feed it, rest it, keep it warm
Wish it other than it is
And then attend to higher things..But then again.. this body ~ home, a miracle of design
The creative instrument through which our dance takes form
A crucible of life and breath
A begging bowl for Spirit..
This is a weekend to more consciously inhabit our physical form
To breathe, and move, and feel
To celebrate the physical, and fill it luxuriantly with ourselves
To find acceptance and then revelation in our flesh and bones
And attend with honour to this body that loves to dance.

“The depth and simplicity of your teaching is stunning”
A glass of water, or the river itself?

“The fastest way to still the mind is to move the body” – Gabrielle Roth
Join us for an opportunity to explore Stillness, the most mysterious of all of the Rhythms. We’ll explore through the Waves map, how all of the other rhythms prepare the ground for moving with Stillness. We’ll also discover 5Rhythms techniques that are designed to bring more embodied presence, unity and gratitude into our lives.
This will be the first ever offering of “Still Moving”, the third of a triptych of workshops that have been offered internationally in four countries. This workshop and the other two, “Ground and Sky” and “Ocean of Possibilities” can be completed in any order, each standing alone as a complete workshop in its own right.
For those who want to remain after the workshop until Sunday, you’re very welcome to join Mark for an easy to moderate hike (about a 4 hour round trip) from the banks of Lake Thirlmere to a neolithic / early Bronze Age stone circle (constructed circa 3200BC.)
Both the hike and the stones will be an opportunity to further integrate the mystery of Stillness. The stones are thought to be amongst the oldest stone circles in Europe and their true purpose remains a mystery. Given their historical significance, surprisingly little is known about them and they have never been scientifically dated.
Class and workshop hours from the weekend count towards 5Rhythms Teacher Training Waves prerequisites.
See below for options for camping and staying locally.
